One slip in, one delivered box out
Ordering through Rowbuy from this Rowbuy Spreadsheet, in seven moves
Rowbuy's help center describes its service in five steps. In practice a first order has seven moves, and money leaves your card at two of them. Where a move happens inside your account, the picture is a labelled drawing by this site that follows one four-piece rain kit to Canada.
Seven moves, one Rowbuy order
Make a Rowbuy login
Open the Rowbuy sign-up page and enter an email, a password and the same password again. The invitation code box is optional. Google, Facebook, LINE and Discord logins are also offered. The tick box under the form mentions a registration agreement and a user statement, but when we clicked both links on October 24 they went nowhere, so there was nothing to read.
Rowbuy says new accounts receive a bundle of postage coupons that apply automatically when eligible. Their value is not printed anywhere we could find.

From a slip on this site, the link opens the listing straight on Rowbuy. From anywhere else, copy the Taobao, 1688 or Weidian product link and paste it into Rowbuy's search bar, or upload a screenshot for an image search. Typing a product name also works: the results page has a switch for each marketplace. On October 24 the 1688 switch failed on all 30 of our searches while the Taobao switch returned results.

A Rowbuy product page shows the tag in yuan with a dollar estimate, the size and colour menus, the stock count, the minimum order and, further down, a box with the product amount and the seller's delivery fee. The page selects a size and colour by itself. On seven of our thirty picks that preset choice cost more than the tag.

Pay for the goods
Payment one pays the shop for the item plus its courier to Rowbuy's warehouse. Rowbuy bills in dollars by card or other methods shown at checkout, and the product page says its buyers place orders during working hours in China. After that the seller ships to the warehouse and your orders page shows the status.

When an item reaches the warehouse, Rowbuy takes free photos and notifies you. Approval sends the item to your parcel pile; flagging a problem holds it back. This is the point to catch the wrong colour or size, because Rowbuy says it can help arrange a return or exchange with the seller only before the item ships abroad.

Check them against your order line (here yellow, size L): colour under plain light, taped seams and working zips, and the size label, which you may have to request. Rowbuy does not say how many free photos each item gets. What to look for is on the photo checks page and on each shelf.
Put the parcel together
Items wait at the warehouse while you collect more, then you select the ones you want and submit them as one parcel. Rowbuy's home page puts the storage limit at 120 days and charges nothing for the first 90. Its forwarding page shows the same flow for goods you had sent to the warehouse yourself.

Four rain-shelf items come to 1,135 g before packing, and the plug adapter from an earlier order stays unticked because we class it as ask-first. The second payment is international postage, priced on the parcel's checked weight and size and the option you pick. Coupons apply here. You can preview the price with Rowbuy's public estimator or with our kit weigher, which uses the same rules.

Worked example to Canada: the packed box weighs 1,340 g and measures 34 × 26 × 12 cm, which is 1,326 g by size at the Canada divisor of 8,000, so the scale reading counts and rounds up to 1,400 g. Fourteen 100 g steps at CNY 7.10 plus CNY 30 make CNY 129.40, about $19.10 at 0.1476. Sent to a US address, the same box would count as 1.77 kg, because the US options divide by 6,000. Coupon values show only inside your account. 
A drawing by this site rather than a real Rowbuy tracking screen; dates, numbers and the address are invented or masked. Count the quoted 7 to 11 days from the day the carrier takes the box. Any import duty is yours, a delivered parcel earns one spin of the wheel (10 to 40 percent off a later parcel's postage), and for damage or loss Rowbuy asks for the order number and photos. Whatever duty your customs office charges on arrival is yours to settle.
Where the money leaves your card
Only two moves cost anything: the goods payment and the postage payment. Rowbuy also charges an agent fee for its own work and prints no rate for it; check your order total for that line.

Using this Rowbuy Spreadsheet alongside the agent
The catalogue does the browsing; Rowbuy does the buying. Start on a shelf that matches your plans, open a slip, and keep this site open in another window while you work through the listing on Rowbuy. The slip tells you which menu to change and which photo to ask for; the listing tells you today's price. If they disagree, the listing is right and the slip is out of date.
When you go beyond our thirty picks, the habit is the same: read the menu, read the amount box, decide what photo you need.
