Commute shelf: Rowbuy Spreadsheet picks for the daily run to work
Six listings for the hours between the front door and the desk. The coats are where the money goes; the glasses and belt cost less than a sandwich.
What a commute asks of a cheap piece
A commute is repetition. The same bag goes on the same shoulder twice a day, the same coat gets folded onto the same seat, and anything that squeaks, sheds or sags shows within a fortnight. So the checks on this shelf are about structure rather than looks: is there a padded sleeve the right size for your laptop, does the coat have a lining that stops it creasing, does the belt have spare holes on both sides of the one you will use.
Two of the six slips also show the most common Rowbuy surprise. Both coats opened with a preset colour or length that costs more than the tag, and the bottom-line box on the page said so plainly. Read that box before you add anything to the cart.

Slips on the commute shelf
Prices are Rowbuy's reading of the Taobao tag in yuan, with its own dollar conversion, on October 24, 2026. The bottom line is the product amount Rowbuy showed for whatever size and colour the page selected by itself. Seller photos may carry the shop's own watermark.

Dark grey nylon work backpack
Tag CNY 398.68 (about $58.85). Bottom line matched the tag.
Check: The only menu entry is labelled in Chinese characters and reads as dark grey, upgraded version. There is no laptop size in the menu, so use the message box on the listing to ask for the inner sleeve size in centimetres.
Photo check: Ask for the open main compartment with the sleeve visible, and the zip pulls close up.

Black-frame screen glasses, plain lenses
Tag CNY 32.78 (about $4.84). Bottom line matched the tag.
Check: The preset option is the no-prescription frame with blue-light coated lenses. Prescription versions sit further down the menu and want your numbers in the message.
Photo check: Hinges open fully on both arms and the lenses carry no scratch in the photo light.

Khaki mid-length trench, women
Tag CNY 205.80 (about $30.38). Bottom line with the preset option: $48.07.
Check: Preset size XS and the colour named khaki with an upgraded down liner, which lifts the bottom line well above the tag. Sizes run XS to L only.
Photo check: Ask for the liner zipped in and out, and the belt loops at the back.

Black knee-length coat, men
Tag CNY 467.28 (about $68.98). Bottom line with the preset option: $78.62.
Check: The colour entry says fleece-lined, slanted side pockets and a length of 95 to 100 cm. Measure a long coat you own from collar seam to hem before choosing M to 4XL.
Photo check: Pocket bags and the lining at the armpit, where cheap coats tear first.

Small rectangular quartz watch, white dial
Tag CNY 325.81 (about $48.09). Bottom line matched the tag.
Check: The preset adds the original box. A quartz watch carries a button cell and Rowbuy lists batteries as restricted on some lines, so ask support which postage option accepts it before paying. Only 17 were in stock.
Photo check: Dial photographed straight on, and the caseback.

Plain black leather belt, pin buckle
Tag CNY 35.77 (about $5.28). Bottom line matched the tag.
Check: Lengths are 95, 100 and 110 cm. Go by an old belt that fits, not by your trouser size.
Photo check: Holes punched clean through and the buckle tongue sitting straight.

Sizing notes for the commute pieces
The women's trench stops at L, so anyone between sizes should size up and plan on the belt to pull it in. The men's coat is the opposite case: six sizes from M to 4XL but a fixed length of 95 to 100 cm according to its own menu, which matters more than the letter if you are shorter than average. Many Chinese size charts come up smaller than European labels, so compare chest width with a coat you own when the seller publishes a chart.
Belts are easier. The listing's three lengths are measured end to end, and a belt that fits sits on its middle hole. If your current belt fits on its third hole of five, its length is your number.
Photo requests for commute pieces
For the backpack, the useful photo is the inside, not the front: we want to see a padded divider and a zip that runs round the corner without catching. For the coats, the lining tells you most, so ask for the coat opened flat. The watch photo should be taken square to the dial so you can see whether the hands sit straight and the crystal is clean.
Glasses are hard to judge in a photo beyond scratches and hinges. If you need a precise fit, check the frame width printed on the inside of the arm in the warehouse photo against a pair you own.
The general order we read photos in is on the photo checks page.
Parcel weight on a commute haul
Coats are bulky, and Rowbuy prices light, bulky parcels on size as well as weight. A long coat folded into a box can cost more than the scale suggests. If you plan to send both coats together, run the box size through the kit weigher before you submit the parcel, and consider asking for the outer packaging to be removed from the backpack and watch box. Rowbuy's help center says removing unnecessary packaging lowers the cost; whether it is worth losing the watch box is your call.
